Concept Statement

The design for Virtual Noise continues the designer’s evolution and exploration of the subconscious by amalgamating various metaphysical ideologies between the real and the surreal. It continues the exploration into the occult as a way to acquire a deeper truth that is unmeasurable by the scientific method.

The interior structure showcases a contrast between rectilinear design, and parametric, biomorphic design. This contrast showcases society’s repetitive and ritualistic daily life being intervened by the arbitrary element of music. It is an abstract method of representing the converging point between two sound waves.

The aesthetics of the space employs the audacious philosophy, viewpoint, and style behind Industrial Music. The goal is to challenge the visitors into escaping their own paradigm, while simultaneously keeping an inviting feel to it.
