Concept Statement
The Troy Residence begins the exploration into biomorphic design. It uses the idea behind Ribonucleic Acid as well as the Sarasota School of Architecture to create a design that plays with the landscape, the location, the resident, and its history. Both ideas share an element in common - creating something new from something old.
The design takes a contemporary approach to replicate a school of thought that takes into consideration history and location. In a parellel layer, it mimics the moment when Ribonucleic Acid replicates itself into new templates through the synthesis of proteins.
