Concept Statement

The design for the Sustainable Duplex begins the evolution of implementing Biomimicry and sustainability into a structure. It is the study of the ideas behind nature, and then imitates them to create a design solution to solve human problems.

For this structure, the eco-biological factors of the camels were studied to create a solution that emulates how the camel interacts in its harsh environment. The goal is to create a stucture that is completely sustainable, from the way it interacts with heat, water, energy, and its inhabitants.
