Concept Statement
The design for the German Culture Center stems from three words that describe the culture - Union; Fighter; & Thinker. These three elements are carried out through the design to create a structure that portrays Germany’s past, present, and future.
The aesthetics for the place originate from various art movements that have occurred in Germany due to political unrest. It transcends boundaries that speak louder than any words. It recreates an era where Art Deco showcased elegance and boldness, the Bauhaus proved that less is more, and when the industrial revolution brought the world to the future.
Through subliminal images and symbols, emotional elements are subconsciously triggered to recreate an experience from the past.
[Dedicated to all the lives lost during the WWII era.]
